What we got wrong in the 2025 Index

Last year we counted any edit as a correction, which overstated the rate by treating formatting changes as substantive.

The detail

This year we classify edits by whether they change meaning, and we have restated the 2025 figures alongside the new ones.

The second error was smaller but more embarrassing: a timezone bug misattributed a portion of runs to the wrong working day.
