Portway Logistics: the agent that only failed in the cold

Portway’s inventory agent worked reliably in testing and unreliably in the depots, with no pattern anyone could find.

The detail

Correlating runs with location and time showed the failures clustering in the chilled warehouse, where handheld devices dropped connection mid-run and the agent retried against stale context.

No model change was required. The fix was a retry policy and a connectivity check.
